CRANDON, WISC.  The much anticipated Labor Day weekend event of the year for all Short-Course Off-Road racing fans is finally visible on the horizon, the 49th Crandon World Championship Off-Road Races® presented by Polaris RZR, including the 2018 Crandon World Cup presented by AMSOIL crown jewel event is bigger and better than ever with four days of track action and live concerts!

With the recent formation of the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League earlier in the year, this event will bring out some of the top West Coast teams to compete against the best of the MidWest for a Grand Slam all out best-of-the-best competition at the premier Short Course Off-Road course as the drivers and teams will battle it out to determine who will be the ones to beat and go home crowned the 2018 Champions.

A total of 201,200 in cash and prizes for the 2018 Crandon World Cup races on Sunday September 2nd, and of course, bragging rights are on the line for all the PRO class drivers and teams. Expect the gloves to come off and the battles to be fierce for the final event of the Midwest Short Course League.  This year’s event also brings with it, the mighty Ultra4 trucks and drivers to compete on the Crandon UltraCross course


Weekend admission is $50 for adults, with children 12 and under and seniors 75 and older getting in free. One-day admission is $30 for adults, children under 12 and senior 75 or older admitted free. Concert only tickets are also available for $10.00 for per person/per day for ages 13 and up. All weekend, camping and concert tickets for the 49th Crandon World Championship Off-Road Races® will be available when the gates open beginning at 12:00 noon Wednesday, Aug 29th.


The weekend of events will begin on Wednesday, August 29th with the gates opening at 12:00 noon for the Crandon camp grounds. On Thursday, August 30th the track will be hot with a full day of open practice for all classes beginning at 11:00am. The full weekend of competition begins on Friday, August 31st starting with the traditional gathering of teams and fans on Main Street in Downtown Crandon starting at 8:30am followed by the 49th Anniversary Crandon World Championship Labor Day Parade at 12:00 noon. The first race of the Forest County Potawatomi “Friday Night Thunder” event to start at 2:00pm and closing out the day with live entertainment by Road Trip starting at 8:30pm at the Crandon stage.

With the first day of competition in the books, Saturday, September 1st brings on the Sportsman’s World Championships with PRO Qualifying to begin at 8:45am followed by the first race at 10:30am. After a full day of racing, join in for another exciting night of entertainment at the Crandon stage for the live concert by the Tim McDonald Band starting at 8:30pm.

On Sunday, September 2nd the PRO class teams be front and center for the final day of competition on the grand stage at Crandon International Raceway for a chance to walk away with a piece of the over $200,000 in cash and prizes. PRO Qualifying to hit the track at 9:00am with the BF Goodrich Unlimited Off-Road Show to begin with Opening Ceremonies at 10:30am followed by the Crandon East vs West PRO 2 World Championship at 11:00am. Event activities will conclude with the AMSOIL Cup Challenge race where the top PRO 2 drivers battle head-to-head with the top PRO 4 drivers for a chance to walk away with $49,000 in cash, Custom Henry Rifle, Lincoln Electric welder and a MasterCraft driving suit.
