Crandon International Off Road Raceway announces a change to the previously released schedule for the 2012 Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run races historically held over Father’s Day weekend.
The new date for the spring Brush Run has been set for June 16 &17, 2012. We will once again host the second largest event in off road racing (only to be out done by the World Championship on Labor Day weekend) in the country on the third weekend in June. The Forest County Potawatomi are proud to be the title sponsors of the 2012 Brush run and excited to host the 19th running of the Forest County Potawatomi Chairman’s Cup featuring a $25,000 purse.
We look forward to great weather to accompany the many facility improvements that will be featured in 2012. Fans will see marked improvements in various areas including seating, display areas and added camping. More details to follow as we get closer to the biggest spring race of the year.
CAMPING NOW OPEN MAY –OCTOBER AT THE BIG HOUSE!
Imagine a place where you and 5,000 friends may gather twice a year to camp with a community of like minded neighbors to enjoy the Northwoods. As we all know, that place exists and is known as the Big House in Crandon, WI.
We have one of the largest campgrounds in the Midwest located in the heart of the Northwoods now open for business from May 1 – October 31. There are various types of sites and we can accommodate your requests in one of 4 sites ranging from full power motor home sites to primitive sites.
Bring your motor home and make a summer of it in the Northwoods. We feature fully improved sites with standard power arrangements on 45 x 90’ blacktop spaces. Bring your ATV, boat and binoculars as there are hundreds of miles of trails, bountiful lakes and wildlife galore to enjoy. Plus, you can find everything you will need in the town of Crandon located 3 miles east on Hwy 8.
We also feature over 75 sites with available water and shower facilities along with options for campfires. Bring your pull behind, motor home or tent and get ready to enjoy all that our facility has to offer. You may choose to try your hand on our golf driving range or test your skills on our Traxxas RC track. This RC track has set the standard for outdoor venues and is a smaller version of the Big House where Champions are Crowned! Bring the kids and have lunch under the Traxxas Pavilion. If you’re racing RC cars you will have full power available courtesy of our friends at Traxxas – The fastest name in Radio Control.
The Crandon area in blessed with the headwaters of major rivers including the Wolf and Peshtigo along with many lakes and flowages. If you wish to pitch a tent and cast a line, we have the perfect locations – over 1600 of them! Our standard sites are not only ample and comfortable but also surrounded by trees and water. Bring your ATV and explore area waterways or just take advantage of over 300 miles of trails winding through woods and fields. We offer the best trail head in the North with access to county roads, logging roads and nature trails located on the west side of the facility on Hwy S.

ATV PARADISE
We feature the best ATV trailhead in the Northwoods at the Big House in Crandon, WI.
Load and unload your ATV’s our UTV’s as you camp at the Big House in the peace and quiet of the open sky.
New for 2012 is the mighty ‘Bog” where your ATV will need all the horsepower available to get through or you will need a bath once you walk out! Tear it up and tear into it along 10 acres of mud, sweat and tears.
The ‘Climbing Wall’ will challenge you and your machine along a pathway of boulders the size of a car and angles steep enough to test your will and determination.
Of course once the fun is done you can wash your machine in our ATV wash area and enjoy a hot shower for yourself in one of our clean and cozy stalls.
